Here’s an idea for your upcoming holiday party – a crostini station. Lots of options for the guests and easy to put together with a variety of cheeses, artisan breads/crostini/flat breads, spreads, roasted vegetables and fruit. You can even fancy up the station by including a chalk board or framed menu and displaying the items in vintage wine crates or rustic bowls.
I arranged this crostini station for a holiday party last year. In addition to serving a variety of artisan breads and crostini, I served roasted cauliflower (mixed with chopped basil and passion fruit jam preserve) and maple glazed baby carrots. Sliced pears, bunches of grapes, figs and an assortment of spreads topped off the station.
Other station items to consider? How about a small olive bar, a selection of cured meats or slices of flatbread pizzas? If baby carrots or roasted cauliflower aren’t for you, consider other vegetables such as roasted red peppers and/or asparagus.
Happy planning for the holiday season!
